Charity run organized by the Gymnasium am Römerkastell in Alzey

At the traditional charity run organized by the Gymnasium am Römerkastell high school, participants were sponsored by their private supporters, such as parents and grandparents. A pre-agreed amount was donated for each lap run around the school sports field. This resulted in a considerable sum being raised, which will once again benefit the partner school in Rwanda. This year, the donation will go towards the construction of a new dormitory for 108 boys at a vocational school in Rwanda. The project aims to improve the living and learning conditions of the young people there in the long term. The runners were highly motivated and raised the truly sensational sum of over €5,000. This is an amount that all the students can be proud of. On October 31, 2025, the symbolic check was presented to the Rwanda Support Association at the Gymnasium am Römerkastell. The chairman of the support association, Christoph Burkhard, and the managing director, Christine Müller, were also present and expressed their sincere thanks on behalf of the association for the generous support.
