Ejo-Connect youth network
Bulding bridges together

Ejo-Connect is a dynamic Rwandan-German network of young people who are enthusiastic about intercultural exchange and build bridges between Rhineland-Palatinate and Rwanda through joint projects and meetings. Our goal is to actively shape the partnership by contributing our perspectives and commitment.

The network consists of two groups – one in Rwanda and one in Germany – which are in regular contact. We connect young people, promote intercultural understanding, and strengthen the future of the partnership through creative ideas and projects.

In Kinyarwanda, “Ejo” means both ‘yesterday’ and “tomorrow.” This name reflects our goal: we are young people, former volunteers, students, and pupils who already had ties to Rwanda yesterday and want to maintain these ties in the future. Anyone else who is interested is also welcome to join us at any time.

The initiative is based on the recognition that sustainable partnerships are built on genuine interpersonal relationships. That is why we create spaces where young people from both countries can work together, learn from each other, and tackle global challenges together. Through targeted projects, members develop intercultural skills, strengthen the partnership between Rhineland-Palatinate and Rwanda, and break down stereotypes. Ejo-Connect thus makes an important contribution to the youth work of the Jumelage.
