Genocide and Remembrance Work in Rwanda as a Teaching Topic

We cordially invite you to the training “Genocide and Remembrance Work in Rwanda as a Teaching Topic” on November 22, 2023 from 10:00 – 16:00 at the KZ Osthofen Memorial.
As speakers for the training we welcome:
Phanuel Sindayihebam, survivor of the genocide in SE Naynge
Michael Nieden and Christine Berthold, Association Partnership Rhineland-Palatinate/Rwanda e.V
Martina Kracht, KZ Osthofen Memorial
In this training (event number ILF 23ST010703) we want to engage together with teachers of all school types with our partner country Rwanda and its genocide 30 years ago.
How do I treat such a topic in class? What materials can I use?
We also want to present school partnerships between schools in RLP and schools in Rwanda. We would gladly start new partnerships if there is interest.
We present the museum designed in 2021 in Nyange and its concept for remembrance work with Rwandan students.
Particularly exciting is that there is an opportunity to exchange with a survivor of the school massacre in Naynge.
Registration and further information at: info@ns-dokuzentrum-rlp.de /06242-910810
Participation is free
